Day2: fly to London, Part 3/2日目：いよいよロンドンへ（その3）

Here, I'll tell you about my plane journey to London.
ここではロンドンへの飛行機の旅を紹介します。

A business class just getting into the plane. I really want to take it someday..
飛行機に乗り込むとすぐにビジネスクラスがあります。いつか乗ってみたい..

ここに座りました。

I took a brand new premium economy class. It's very comfortable for a long-haul flight of 12 hours. Seat pitch is wider and reclining angle is larger then a normal economy class, and an array of seats is 2-4-2, it's less than one in a horizontal row. In addition, some amenity kit offers the same things as a business class, such as a noise canceling headphone. They have an welcome drink service and hot towels, too.
真新しいプレミアム・エコノミークラスに乗りました。通常のエコノミークラスよりシートピッチが広くリクライニング角度が大きくて配列も2－4－2と横1列少ない分12時間の長距離飛行でもとても快適です。さらにノイズキャンセリングヘッドホンなどいくつかのアメニティーにはビジネスクラスと同じものを提供、ウエルカムドリンクサービスとホットタオルもあります。

This is a northbound flight. Flight routes are as follows: Hong Kong - Inland China - Mongolia - Siberia - Moscow - Latvia - the Baltic Sea - Scandinavian countries (Sweden and Denmark) - the North Sea - London Heathrow.
飛行ルートは香港→中国内陸→モンゴル→シベリア→モスクワ→ラトビア→バルト海→北欧（スウェーデン、デンマーク）→北海→ロンドン・ヒースローの北周りとなります。

The scheduled departure time is 2:40pm. However, there are many flights from Japan, Korea and China to Europe passing through Siberia in this time zone. Therefore, the takeoff permit was not given easily. After all, the plane was starting at 3:04pm, 24 minutes later than scheduled.
出発予定時刻は午後2時40分。しかし当時間帯にはシベリア上空を通る日本、韓国、中国から欧州に向かう便が多いことからなかなか着陸許可が降りず結局定刻より24分遅れの午後3時04分に出発しました。

Meal time in a few minutes after takeoff. The 1st meal can be chosen from three main dishes; Fish with rice, Lamb steak with risotto and pasta. I chose Lamb steak. It's my first experience to eat steak in the plane. The taste is crunchy meaty juicy.
Oh, there is my loving Haagen-Dazs! I ate it after dinner, but it had been melted little by little. If they offer an ice cream for dessert, they must serve it after a meal.
離陸後しばらくしてから食事タイム。1回目の食事は魚とご飯和え、子羊のステーキとリゾット和え、パスタ3種類のメインデッシュから選ぶことができました。自分は飛行機のなかでステーキを食べたことがなかったので子羊のステーキにしました。味はジューシーな肉のカリカリでおいしかったです。食後デザートとしてハーゲンダッツをいただきましたが少しずつ溶けてきていたようです。デザートにアイスクリームを出すなら食後にすべきです。

The 2nd meal was served 2 hours before landing. They have two main dishes; a pork meatball with rice, and fish with pasta. I chose a pork meatball, but I really don't like it!
着陸2時間前に2回目の食事が出されました。メインデッシュは豚肉の団子とご飯和え、魚のパスタ和えの2種類でした。自分は豚肉の団子とご飯和えにしましたがこれが失敗！ホント魚のパスタ和えにしておけばよかったです。

The plane arrived at London Heathrow Airport at 8:26 pm local time.
飛行機は現地時刻の午後8時26分ロンドン・ヒースロー空港に着きました。

After getting off the plane, I headed off to immigration counter. There are two counters, for the UK and EU citizens and other passport holders. At the immigration counter, it was fast for the UK and EU citizens, however it made a long queue time for others. It was my turn after about 20 minutes. But I had a trouble with an immigration officer. She ask me some questions, such as "How much money do you have?", "How long will you stay in the UK?", "Do you have a return air ticket?" etc.. She didn't hear about my replies well, especially for my occupation. I wrote as a student, so she ask me "Do you have a student visa?". I said "No". Then, she ask me further questions: "What is the name of your company?", "Does your father do?" etc.. Later, she returned to the office to check for my past entry record. After a few minutes, my passport is back and all done. I realized that the time was already 9:30 pm. I was so tired, I have to go Ibis London Heathrow Airport by bus. The bus to Ibis Hotel came after about 20 minutes. I arrived at the hotel at 10:15 pm.
飛行機を降りてから入国審査所に向かいました。審査所は英国およびEU市民と外国人2つに分かれていて、英国およびEU市民だと早いのですが外国人のところには長い列ができていました。20分ほどして自分の番となりました。入国審査の際審査官がいくつか質問をした際職業のところの記入に不備があったので審査官が一旦事務所まで戻って過去の入国記録を調べていました。数分後、旅券が返ってきて無事入国することができました。気がつくとすでに時間は9時30分。かなり疲れていたのでバスでイビスロンドンヒースローエアポートまで行こうと思っていました。20分ほどしてホテル行きのバスがやってきました。ホテルには10時15分に着きました。
