Harajiri Waterfall (原尻の滝), Bungo Ono, Oita

Harajiri Waterfall, a waterfall which runs on Ogata River in Bungo Ono city, is 20meters high with 20meters width chosen as one of the top 100 selected waterfalls in Japan.
It is also called “Oriental Niagara” because of its powerful sight. You can cross a suspension bridge and step down to ground from the bridge to have closer view of the waterfall.

Finally, we went to Aonodomon (青の洞門).  Aonodomon is a tourist attraction located in the former Yabakei town, now part of Nakatsu.

After we left Tatehata-no-kei Scenery, we were visited to Hitome Hakkei (一目八景) viewpoint in the former Honyabakei town, now part of the city of Nakatsu.

Urakami Cathedral (浦上天主堂), Nagasaki

St. Mary's Cathedral, often known as Urakami Cathedral (Japanese: 浦上天主堂 Urakami Tenshudō) after its location Urakami, is a Roman Catholic church located in Motoomachi, Nagasaki. The church was completely destroyed  by the atomic bomb on 9 August 1945. The present church was rebuilt and completed in 1959.

Mametamachi (豆田町), Hita, Oita on 23 August 2009

Mametamachi is a historical town in Hita, Oita Prefecture. The town preserved from the Tenryo period, where it was under the direct rule by the Tokugawa Shogunate.

Aso bo-no-go Kugino is a complex facility in Minamiaso, Kumamoto Prefecture. It has a restaurant, a cafe, a souvenir shop, and a lawn. From here, you can see the magnificent view of Aso mountains.

Saikai Bridges (西海橋), Nagasaki

The Saikai Bridge is a steel arch bridge built in 1955. The bridge has a span of 216m and crosses the Hario Seto Straits, which is famous for its whirlpools.
The Shin (New) Saikai Bridge was opened in March 2006. It runs parallel to Saikai Bridge and is a part of the Saikai Pearl Line toll road.

Beppu Panorama from Beppuwan Service Area on 20 August 2012

Before we went to Lake Shidaka, we have a lunch break at Beppuwan Service Area on Oita Expressway. The weather was cloudy at about 12:45pm. In a few minutes later, it became a rain. Because of such weather condition, the image is much darker, but please enjoy this photo.
