Walking tour to the Yamakasa race floats in Fukuoka

On Monday, I took a walking tour to see the Yamakasa race floats in Watanabedori and Tenjin, the largest downtown in Kyushu. Yamakasa (山笠) is an annual summer festival held from July 1 to 15 by Kushida Shrine⛩ in Fukuoka.

First I went to Watanabedori Sunselco event square to see the Anpanman float🍞As you see the picture, pretty and challenge Anpanman characters drawn by different artists😁

Then I walked down the Watanabe-dori Street to Tenjin where the ten race float is located.
A unique collaboration between the West and the East: The Kazariyama currying float that is drawing the Japanese historical figures such as Minamoto no Yoshitsune and Benkei is set up on the El Gala passage square at Daimaru department store, and restaurants and bars inspired by the Champs Elysees in Paris🗼
