Visiting Joten-ji Temple, Fukuoka on April 23 part 2

After leaving Sento-en Japanese garden, I visited the main hall.

The golden bronze bell next to the main hall.

A drawing picture of the Hakata Gion Yamakasa Festival is shown in the treasure warehouse.

 After that, I went into the Tenyoan Japanese garden.

Azalea welcomes you!

It has a lovely garden, with stones, leaves and azalea.

 A small garden even in front of the office!

Jotenji-dori Avenue. About 150 metres which is sandwiched in the precincts of the temple of the street, it is placed maple, pine, and a natural stone, and it resembles to the Japanese garden.

Jotenji-dori Avenue street sign is standing at the entrance. Look at the band pattern below. It means Hakata ori, a textile used for obis of kimonos.

Visiting Joten-ji Temple, Fukuoka yesterday part 1

Yesterday, I went to Joten-ji Temple, a Rinzai temple in Hakata, Fukuoka. It was founded by Enni-Ben'en with support from Xie Guo Ming, a Chinese merchant, and construction was completed in 1242.

First, I was taking a picture of the Hakata Sennen Gate (Hakata-sennen-no-mon (博多千年門)).
It has been completed at the entrance of the Jotenji-dori Avenue on March 28, 2014.

After that, I went into the zen temple.

Next to the entrance, you can see the stone monument commemorating the birth of Udon and Soba.

A zen room. There is a Japanese rock garden called Sento-tei (洗濤庭) spread into the site.

Jeju Air's 'Lee Min-ho jet'/チェジュ航空のイ・ミンホジェット

On Thursday, I also caught Jeju Air's 'Lee Min-ho jet'. The aircraft registration number HL8263 is using a Korean actor Lee Min-ho as a model and was bought from Virgin Australia in November 2012.
木曜日(4/10)に済州航空の「イ・ミンホジェット」も捕獲しました！韓流スターイ・ミンホをモデルとして起用した当機は2012年11月にバージン・オーストラリア航空から購入したものです。

I caught a Dragon Air Airbus a330-300 yesterday!/昨日ドラゴン航空のA330-300機を捕獲しました！

I took photos of a Dragon Air Airbus a330-300s on flight KA381 to Hong Kong takeoff on Rwy 34R between 5:46 and 5:47 pm. Recently, the flight is operated by A330s more often. Why? There are I have two reasons:

•  An increased number of passengers from Hong Kong and abroad.
•  Hong Kong Express, a low-cost carrier, began operating a scheduled service to Fukuoka yesterday. Therefore, they must improve their services.

香港ドラゴン航空のA330-300機KA381便香港行きが午後5時46－47分に滑走路34Rから離陸するところを撮影しました。最近同便はA330機で飛来する日が多くなっています。それはなぜでしょうか？理由は2つ考えられます。

• 香港や第三国などからの利用客数増加
• 昨日からLCCの香港エクスプレス就航で競争が激しくなりそれにともなうサービスの向上

The aircraft registration number B-HLI was bought from its parent company Cathay Pacific in November 2013.
機体番号はB-HLIで当機は2013年11月に親会社のキャセイパシフィック航空より購入したものです。

Report:Hong Kong Express welcomes to Fukuoka!/ルポ:祝！香港エクスプレス福岡就航

I was able to take pictures of a Hong Kong Express Airways inaugural flight to Fukuoka today. It was a prefect sunny day. So I took some beautiful pictures of the memorial flight.
今日香港エクスプレス航空福岡就航便の写真撮影に成功しました。天気は快晴だったので記念すべき便の撮影には絶好のコンディションでした。

At 5:16 pm in Japan time, a UO636 inaugural flight from Hong Kong was landing on Rwy 34R. Aircraft registration number is B-LPF.
午後5時16分、香港からのUO636就航便が滑走路34Rに着陸しました。機体番号はB-LPFでした。

Even though it was a weekday, I saw many spotters who want to shoot this plane from this place located in a pedestrian bridge near Rwy 34R.
平日だったにもかかわらず滑走路34R近くの撮影スポットである歩道橋には同機が来るのを待ち構えているファンたちが大勢駆けつけていました。

One hour later, the plane was returned to Hong Kong on UO639.
飛行機は1時間後UO639便で香港へ戻って行きました。

The plane was takeoff at 6:24 pm.
飛行機は午後6時24分に離陸。

I'm going to take a picture of a Hong Kong Express inaugural flight tomorrow

I'm going to Fukuoka Airport to watch a Hong Kong Express Airways UO636 inaugural flight from Hong Kong at 5:20 pm tomorrow. Hong Kong Express is the first airline to offer cheap flight between Fukuoka and Hong Kong.
Presently, the Cathay Pacific group operates on their Fukuoka route twice per day, either non-stop or via Taipei.

I want to take a picture of the memorial day. The weather will be fine tomorrow, so I want to take a beautiful picture.

Sakura in Akizuki (秋月), Asakura, Fukuoka

Yesterday, we went to Akizuki for hanami (cherry blossom viewing parties). Same as last year, hanami parties about 10 days earlier than usual. Here's cherry trees falling petals little by little. It was a cold day, so we didn't see many people enjoy having hanami parties there.

The last flight of an All Nippon Airways Boeing 747-400D yesterday/昨日で全日空のB747-400Dが退役

All fleets of an All Nippon Airways (ANA) Boeing 747-400D has retired on March 31. The last flight was NH126 from Okinawa Naha to Tokyo Haneda. The aircraft registration number JA8961 is not in use anymore since this model has been retired from the airlines of Japan.
全日空のB747-400Dが去る3月31日をもって全機退役しました。最後のフライトは沖縄那覇発東京羽田行きANA126便で機体番号はJA8961でした。当機種の退役により日本の航空会社から姿を消したことになります。
