The last day in London/ロンドン最後の日

This day, on July 21, is the last day of my travel across to the UK for 13 days, so I had enjoyed to London all the day.
この日（7月21日）はいよいよ13日間にわたる英国旅行の最終日なので丸一日ロンドンを楽しみました。

In the morning, I had planned to visit London Tower. But many people has already lined up both at the ticket window and entrance, so I gave up to go to the tower at that time.
午前中ロンドン塔に行こうと計画していたのですがいざ行ってみるとすでに入場券売場と入口にたくさんの人々が並んでいたので行くのをあきらめました。

 I want to go Hyde Park, so I took the Original tour to Marble Arch.
ハイド・パークに行きたかったのでザ・オリジナルツアーに乗ってマーブル・アーチへ。

I'm so hungry suddenly. But there are no food that I want to eat around here, so I decided to go China Town.
急にとてもお腹がすいてしまいこの周辺で食べたかったのですが別に食べたいものがなくて中華街に行くことに。

Getting off the bus at Piccadilly Circus, I was wandering around there something to eat. I found a casual pizza dining at Leicester Square by chance. I ordered a piece of pizza and coke. After lunch, I visited to the British Museum by bus.
ピカデリー・サーカスでバスを降りて何か食べるものがないかあたりをうろうろしていると偶然にもレスター・スクエアにある安いピザ店を見つけてピザとコーラを注文。昼食後バスで大英博物館へ。

I visited there twice since January 2006. This time, it was a special exhibition on culture and history of Japan. I'm very interested in Japanese history, so I dropped in there.
ここを訪れたのは2006年1月以来2度目です。今回は日本の文化と歴史に関する特別展示がされていてこの国の歴史に興味があったので立ち寄ってみました。

Later, I took a taxi to Kensington Palace. But it took 40 minutes we got caught in heavy traffic on the way.
その後タクシーに乗ってケンジントンパレスまで行きましたが途中でひどい交通渋滞に巻き込まれてしまい40分ほどかかりました。

The Serpentine in Hyde Park. Located in central London, it's a scenic place, so you'll forget the hustle and bustle of the city.
ハイド・パークのサーペンクインレイク。ロンドン市街に位置し風光明媚な場所なので都会の喧騒さを忘れさせてくれる。

The time was already 5 o'clock, I was so hurry because I have to come back to the hotel by 7pm. I took a bus to Piccadilly Circus, but it's my mistake. I never think there is a heavy traffic in central London on Sunday!
5時を回っていたので7時までにホテルに戻らなければならないので多少せかせかしました。日曜日のロンドン市街は混んでいるとは思わずにバスでピカデリー・サーカスまで戻ったのが失敗でした。

The bus arrived at Piccadilly Circus at 6:10pm. I harried to the Embankment Station to take District Line to Tower Hill, then a little walk to Tower Gateway on DLR light rail. From Tower Hill, I took a Beckton bound train to Royal Victoria. I arrived at Royal Victoria 7:10pm. I had already made a reservation for a limousine service to Heathrow Airport yesterday, so they'll pick me up at 7pm. The driver was already waiting when return to the hotel. I pick up a luggage, then take a limousine to the airport.
バスは6時10分にピカデリー・サーカスに到着。エンバンクメント駅まで急いでディストリクト線でタワー・ヒルまで出てDLRライトレールのタワー・ゲートウェイ駅まで多少歩いてそこからべクトン行きの電車でロイヤル・ビクトリアへ。ロイヤル・ビクトリアには7時10分に到着。昨日ヒースロー空港までのリムジン（7時発）を予約していたのでホテルに戻ってくるとすでにドライバーが待っていたので荷物を引き取り後空港まで向かいました。

The driver went through the road on the south of the Thames. I was able to see Big Ben on the way. Take the M4 motorway from Chiswick, and arrived at the airport around 8:15pm. Say goodbye to London and return home.
ドライバーはテムズ川の南側道路を通っていて途中ビックベンが見れました。チズウィック（Chiswick）からM4高速道路を通って8時15分ごろ空港に到着。ロンドンに別れを告げいよいよ帰国の途に。

A night trip to London/ロンドンの夜旅

After the bus tour is done, I visited to Big Ben and West Minster by the Original Tour bus. The bus stop is located in front of Embankment Pier. I bought a ticket (£28) at the entrance of bus which is valid for within 24 hours. I took this bus to Big Ben.
バスツアー終了後エンバンクメント・ピアの手前にあるバス停からザ・オリジナルツアーバスでビッグベンとウエスト・ミンスターへ。バスの出入口で24時間以内有効のチケット（28ポンド）を購入しビッグベンへ。

After leaving West Minster, I walked to Buckingham Palace.
ウエスト・ミンスターを後に歩いてバッキンガム宮殿へ。

I was waiting for the Original tour bus to Victoria Station. However, the bus didn't come easily. Finally, it came to after about 30 minutes. From there, I took the route 38 to Piccadilly Circus. I had a wonderful Chinese buffet at WU restaurant in China Town. Well priced (£8,50 per person), excellent food and great taste. After dinner, I went to Internet café nearby to check my email etc.. The time is 10 o'clock, so I decided to go London Bridge to take photos of Tower Bridge and the Shard at night.
ビクトリア・ステーション行きのザ・オリジナルツアーバスを待っていましたがバスはなかなか来なくて30分ほどしてようやくやって来ました。そこから38番バスでピカデリー・サーカスへ。中華街にあるWUというバイキング料理店で夕食。値段は8.50ポンドとお手ごろで美味しかったです。夕食後近くのインターネットカフェでメールをチェックしたりしていると時刻はすでに10時を回っていたのでタワー・ブリッジとザ・シャード（the Shard）の夜景を撮りにロンドン橋へ。

After shooting, I walked to Bank Station to way back to Royal Victoria by DLR train. Note that all trains from Bank go to Lewisham or Woolwich, so you must change to Beckton at West Ferry. Tomorrow is the last day of my travel across to the UK for 13 days, so I'll enjoy to London all the day.
撮影後バンク駅まで歩いてライトレールでロイヤル・ビクトリアまで戻りました。バンクからの列車はすべてリュイシャムかウォーリッジ行きなのでウエスト・フェリーでべクトン行きに乗り換えなければなりません。明日はいよいよ13日間にわたる英国旅行の最終日なので丸一日ロンドンで遊ぼうかなと考えています（笑）。

A bus tour to Leeds Castle, Dover and Canterbury on 20 July/7月20日バスツアー（リーズ城、ドーバー、カンタベリー）

On the second day, we visited Leeds Castle, Dover and Canterbury Cathedral. This day, our guide was a middle aged woman. She was taking about the Kent Region has a strongly influenced by the Duke of Normandy after the Battle of Hastings on 14 October 1066.
2日目はリーズ城、ドーバーとカンタベリー大聖堂を巡りました。この日のガイドさんは中年の女性でした。ガイドさんはケント地方が1066年10月14日のヘースティングズの戦い（Battle of Hastings）以後ノルマンディー公との関係が強いことを話してくれました。

We arrived at Leeds Castle at 10:15am. There are many materials indicating that the relationship between England and the Duke of Normandy is strong at that time was also on display when I entered the castle.
10時15分にリーズ城へ到着。城に入るとその当時イングランドがノルマンディー公との関係が強いことを示す資料も展示されていました。

Further go down to the South, We reached to Dover, a harbor city facing to the English Channel. There are ferry services to Calais, France from here.
さらに南へ下ると英仏海峡に面する港湾都市ドーバーにたどり着きます。ここからフランス・カレー行きのフェリーが発着しています。

We had a small break at Waterloo Crescent, so I was shooting pictures of Dover Castle and the surroundings from here.
ウォータール・クレセントで短めの休憩を取ったのでドーバー城とその周辺の写真を撮りました。

• Dover Castle and the east cliff. Facing to the cliff, there is a ferry port departing P&O ferry service to Calais, France.
  ドーバー城と東側の崖。崖の向かいにはフェリーポートがあってフランス・カレー行きのP&Oフェリーが発着している。

After back to the coach, we saw the outer wall of the castle on the way to Canterbury. We arrived at Canterbury at 1pm.
バスに戻ってからカンタベリーに行く途中で城の外壁を見ました。1時にカンタベリーへ着きました。

The guide ask us with lunch as an option or not at the time of booking. I visited to Canterbury Cathedral first because I don't have with an option. The cathedral is much bigger than as I thought. Especially I was impressed with its roman style architecture, the Christ gate and Trinity Chapel. After that, have a free lunch near here. 　
ガイドさんが予約時に昼食のオプションがあるかどうか聞いていて僕はオプションを付けていなかったのでまずはカンタベリー大聖堂へ。聖堂は思ったより大きくてローマ式建築の入口とトリニティチャペルが印象的でした。その後近くで自由に昼食。

I ate a wrap with chicken, sweet corn and vegetables for lunch, but I really don't like it! I was wandering around there something delicious. I found a café, called the Moat Tea Room. I tried to order afternoon tea. First, I picked up two scorns served on the dish, and order Darjeeling when the waiter came. It served with scorns, biscuits etc.. to the three-tiered plate. It was a great satisfaction. I got a full stomach!
昼食にチキン、スイートコーンと野菜が入った巻物（ラップ；Wrap）を食べましたがこれが本当に美味しくなかったので何かおいしい店はないかと周辺をうろうろしていると"The Moat Tea Room"という喫茶店を見つけてアフタヌーンティーを注文。まず最初に皿に盛っていたスコーンを2個取りウエイターが来てからダージリンを注文。3段重ねのプレートにはスコーンやビスケットなどが乗せていて大満足で食べきれずにお腹いっぱいとなりました。

 It's came back to the bus at 3:30, we headed off to Greenwich Pier to board a boat cruise on the Thames. The bus arrived at Greenwich at 4:30. But many people has already lined up at the pier, so we have to wait for more then 30 minutes!
3時30分にバスへ戻ってテムズ川の遊覧船に乗るためグリニッジ・ピアへ。バスは4時30分にグリニッジへ到着。しかし大勢の人々が船に乗るため並んでいたので30分以上待たせられました。

We have enjoyed a 30 minute cruise on the Thames. The boat arrived at Embankment at 6:15. It is all done for the two-day tour. After end of the tour, I decided to go a night trip in London.
30分間のテムズ川遊覧を楽しんだあと船は6時15分にエンバンクメントへ到着。これにて2日間にわたるツアーがすべて終了しました。ツアー終了後ロンドン夜旅を考えていたので即行動へ。

A bus tour to Warwick Castle, Stratford-upon-Avon and Oxford on 19 July/7月19日バスツアー（ウォーリック城、ストラトフォード・アポン・エイヴォン、オックスフォード）

I was participated bus tours both on 19 and 20 July.  Both tours are started from Victoria Green Line Coach Station (not from the main station!) and organized by Golden Tours. We gathered here at 8:30am. On the 19th, we visited Warwick Castle, Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare and Oxford.
7月19・20日の両日バスツアーに参加しました。両ツアーとも主催はゴールデンツアーズでビクトリア・グリーンライン・コーチ・ステーション（メインターミナルではない）朝8時30分集合発となります。19日はウォーリック城、ウィリアム·シェークスピアの生誕地であるストラトフォード・アポン・エイヴォンとオックスフォードを巡りました。

First, we visited to Warwick Castle.
まず最初にウォーリック城へ。

Further go up to the North, I reached to Stratford-upon-Avon. After arrival, I came into the Shakespeare Center, the birthplace of William Shakespeare.
さらに北に向かうとストラトフォード・アポン・エイヴォンに着きます。到着後ウイリアム・シェークスピアの生家であるザ・シェイクスピアセンターに行きました。

Henley Street is located the heart of town.
町のど真ん中にあるヘンレィ・ストリート。

It's came back to the bus at 2 o'clock. We got sandwich, potato chips, an apple and water for a snack. It was through the Cotswolds District, the famous countryside in the UK, on the way to Oxford. 
2時にバスへ戻りました。スナックとしてサンドイッチ、ポテトチップス、りんごと水をもらいました。オックスフォードに行く途中に英国の田園地帯として有名なコッツウォルズ地方を通りました。

We arrived at Oxford around 3:30. We visited to Oxford University and hanged out the alleyway.
3時30分ごろオックスフォードに到着。オックスフォード大学の敷地内を訪れて近くをぶらぶらしました。

The guide told us "You must come back by 5:20pm" when getting off from the coach. I don't know where the coach stop is. I missed the coach! I decided to go back to London by train. I had a dinner at a Chinese restaurant (I forgot the name) at George Street. I arrived to Oxford Station before 7 o'clock, way back to London by train at 7:06pm. The train arrives at Paddington after 8pm.
バスを降りるときガイドさんが”5時20分までに戻ってください”と伝えていましたがバスがどこに止まっているのか分からずバスに乗れなかったので列車でロンドンに戻ることに。ジョージ・ストリートにある中華料理店（名前を忘れた）で夕食を済ませて7時前オックスフォード駅に到着。7時06分の列車でロンドンへ戻り8時過ぎにパディントンへ着きました。

I was very happy to see TG's B744s Star Alliance livery. A logo of the 15th Anniversary of Star Alliance is shown in the rear. The registration number is HS-TGW.
TGのB744スターアライアンス塗装機を見れてとてもラッキーでした。機体後部にはスターアライアンス15周年記念のロゴが貼られていて登録番号はHS-TGWです。

SQ is operated four daily flights to London; only SQ318/319 flights are by B777-300ERs (see the photo) and the rest are A380s.
SQのロンドン線は毎日4便運航していてSQ318/319便のみB777-300ER機（写真）で残りはA380機で飛来しています。

I finished shooting of the day after taken two planes of British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
ブリティッシュ・エアウェイズとバージン・アトランティック航空の2機を撮ってからこの日の撮影を終えました。

Plane spotting at London Heathrow Airport on 18 July, Part 2/7月18日ロンドン・ヒースロー空港での飛行機観察（その2）

I was shooting some foreign airlines landed on Runway 09L between 3:30 and 7:30 pm. I've seen to some carriers from Asia, Middle East, Europe and Africa in this time. I met an A380 of Singapore Airlines, too.
午後3時30分から7時30分にかけて滑走路09Lに着陸する外資系航空会社を撮影しました。当時間帯にはアジア、中東、ヨーロッパ、アフリカ系の会社を見かけました。さらにシンガポール航空のA380機の捕獲にも成功しました！

This is my 1st JAL planes photographed abroad.

SQ is operated four daily flights to London; only SQ318/319 flights are by B777-300ERs and the rest are A380s (see the photo).
 SQのロンドン線は毎日4便運航していてSQ318/319便のみB777-300ER機で残りはA380機（写真）で飛来しています。

• At 3:56 pm/午後3時56分:Cathay Pacific CX257 (B777-300ER) from Hong Kong./香港発キャセイパシフィック航空CX257便（B777-300ER）。

As I mentioned before, CX is operated five daily flights to London. At 4pm, two CX flights continuously arrived at Heathrow; CX257 (see the photo) at 4:05 and CX239 will arrive 10 minutes later.
 以前述べたようにCXのロンドン線は毎日5便運航していて午後4時台にはCX便のうち2便が連続してヒースローに到着します。4時05分にはCX257便（写真）が10分後にはCX239便が到着します。

• At 4:00 pm/午後4時00分:Aer Lingus EI168 (A320) from Dublin./ダブリン発エア・リンガスEI168便（A320）。

The plane was repainted an old livery.
当機は旧塗装に塗り替えられています。

• At 4:09 pm/午後4時09分:Cathay Pacific CX239 (B777-300ER) from Hong Kong./香港発キャセイパシフィック航空CX239便（B777-300ER）。

The CX239 flight began operating on 27 June.
CX239便は6月27日から運航開始しました。

• At 4:37 pm/午後4時37分:Malaysia Airlines MH4 (A380) from Kuala Lumpur./クアラルンプール発マレーシア航空MH4便（A380）。

• At 4:47 pm/午後4時47分:Saudi Arabian Airlines SV105 (B777-200ER) from Riyadh./リアド発サウジアラビア航空SV105便（B777-200ER）。

• At 5:02 pm/午後5時02分:Aero Mexico MX7 (B777-200ER) from Mexico City./メキシコ・シティ発アエロメヒコMX7便（B777-200ER）。

I was very lucky to see MX's B777s Sky Team livery. Aero Mexico is a member of Sky Team since its inauguration in 2000.
MXのB777スカイチーム塗装機を見れて本当にラッキーでした。スカイチームメンバーである同社は2000年の発足時から加盟しています。

This day, KE907 has made an aircraft change to B777-200ERs.
この日KE907便はB777-200ER機へ機種変更を行っていました。

• At 5:13 pm/午後5時13分:KLM Royal Dutch Airlines KL1025 (Embraer 190) from Amsterdam./アムステルダム発KLMオランダ航空KL1025便（エンブラエル190）。

• At 5:20 pm/午後5時20分:JET Airways 9W118 (B777-300ER) from Mumbai./ムンバイ発ジェットエアウェイズ9W118便（B777-300ER）。

• At 5:24 pm/午後5時24分:Iberia IB3166 (A340-600) from Madrid./マドリード発イベリア・スペイン航空IB3166便（A340-600）。

I was very lucky to see IB's A340-600.
IBのA340-600を見ることができてとてもラッキーでした。

• At 5:25 pm/午後5時25分:Qatar Airways QR001 (A330-200) from Doha./ドーハ発カタール航空QR001便（A330-200）。

• At 5:29 pm/午後5時29分:Air China CA937 (B777-300ER) from Beijing./北京発中国国際航空CA937便（B777-300ER）。

I saw CA's 77Ws first time.
CAの77Wは初めて見ました。
