I bought pretty rabbit dolls at Nagasaki Chinatown

In the afternoon, we went to Nagasaki Chinatown. As usual, we bought some "Rabbit"🐰 Chinese new year goods at Min-min boutique shop.

We got here around 2:30. When we went into the shop, we saw many junior and high school students from all over Japan especially from Kansai and Chugoku area. They go on a school trip to Kyushu in three or four days😑

A Taiwanese tea shop on the other side was closed on this day. Sorry😢
I bought four rabbit🐇 toys; two large ones and small ones. They're all pretty, I think the yellow big one is the best😀👍

Seeing iris festival at Omura Park, Nagasaki

Yesterday we had decided to take a drive to Nagasaki🚙 As usual, we bought some rabbit🐰 Chinese new year goods at Min-min boutique shop in Chinatown. Before coming to here, I want to see iris in bloom at Kushima Castle in Omura city. When I looked up some info on iris festival in Nagasaki, the castle's water iris (iris ensata) are starting to bloom in late May. The best time to see the flowers is around the beginning of June.

The pond's irises are approaching full bloom, with over 80% of the flowers⚘ already open.

The keep tower of Omura Castle🏯 with iris beds in the background.

Iris blooms in bloom in the garden.

A close up of some iris blossoms.

Before going to Nagasaki, we went to Omura-jinja (大村神社) Shinto shrine. The shrine is located at the ruin of Kushima Castle, the ancestral home of the Omura clan.

Visiting Yame tea farm again

Yesterday we had decided to take a drive🚙 to Yame Central tea field

Yamecha (八女茶)🍵 is produced in Yame and surrounding areas, and is a tea known throughout Japan🗾😁

I tried to take a close-up picture of the tea garden. The sea seen in the back is Ariake Bay, and beyond that is the Shimabara Peninsula in Nagasaki Prefecture🌄
The next tea picking season is coming soon🌞
