Strolling around Georgetown's World hertage district, part 2/ジョージタウンの世界遺産地区ブラ歩き（その2）

Here, I'm uploading some pictures of many temples and mosques around Little India.
ここではリトル・インディア周辺に多く存在する寺院やモスクなどをUPします。

Goddess of Mercy Temple. In one of the oldest Chinese temple in Penang, it was built in 1800 by early settlers from China. Complex and elaborate build dragons and stone lion statues are standing as a guardian of the temple. Many prayers to make wishes come true throughout the year especially during celebrations.
観音寺。ペナンにある最も古い中国寺院のひとつで、中国からの初期の入植者たちによって1800年に建てられた。複雑且つ精巧な造りの龍や石造りの獅子の彫像が寺の番人として構えている。特に記念行事の際など年間を通して参拝客の姿が絶えることはない。

Acheen Street Malay Mosque. The mosque is built in 1808 by a rich Arab merchant who moved from Sumatra. Look at the small windows on the tower mosque. It's attached to the middle of it, called Minaret. Their children still live in the neighborhood mosque.
マレー・モスク。スマトラ島のアチェから移り住んだ裕福なアラブ商人が1808年に建てたモスク。スマトラ様式のモスクで、ミナレット（塔）につく小窓だ。今でもモスク周辺には子孫たちが暮らしている。

Khoo Kongsi. Khoo Kongsi, probably the most gorgeous Chinese temple in Penang, is a mausoleum that Mr. Khoo was built for the descendants who came from southern China. The temple was first completed in 1898, but it was burnt down in a fire. The current one was rebuilt in 1950. Even more than a profound feeling of the entire building, the temple is highly remarkable its wooden curved roof and outer wall. It's a 25 ton rooftop unit weight.
クーコンシ。ペナン島一豪華な中国寺院。中国南部から渡ってきたクー氏が子孫のために建てた霊廟。1898年に建立されたが火災にあい、現在のものは1950年に再建されたものである。建物全体の重厚感もさることながら、重さ25トンにもなる重厚で緻密な屋根や外壁に刻まれた彫刻は圧巻である。
