First, we climbed Mount Sarakura (皿倉山) by car. The road is open to the
public, so we can go up to the top of the mountain. Parking a car at the visitor center near the peak, we walked very steep footpaths approaching to the top.
I took many panorama views in Kitakyushu from an observation platform. This place is a famous for a magnificent view of the city. It is considered one of Japan's top 100 night view spots.
A view of Yahatahigashi and Tobata Wards. The most part of this area facing the inlet sea, called Dokai Bay is occupied by Nippon Steel Yahata plants. The red-light Wakato Bridge that connects between Wakamatsu and Tobata Wards. The bridge was first opened in September 1962. This was the beginning of long-span bridges in Japan; it was the largest suspension bridge in Asia at that time.

Taking a close-up view of the Kurosaki Station on JR Kagoshima Line. As a hub of rail transportation, the station is served by two JR lines, the Kagoshima Main Line and Chikuho Main Line, commonly known as the Fuku-Yutaka Line and the Chikuho Electric Railroad Line to Nogata.
