Flight report on SQ879 from Taipei to Singapore.
台北－シンガポール間のSQ879便搭乗記です。

I flew to Singapore by Singapore Airlines SQ879 at 5:35 pm. Flying with Singapore Airlines is the first time in three years, since April 2011 when I went to Sydney.

I arrived at Taoyuan Airport 3:50 pm. At the Airport, all check-in procedure is done at China Airlines (CAL) counter. I had a check-in at EVA Air counter of the return flight four days later, but I thought CAL staff is very kind and polite then EVA Air.

午後5時35分発のシンガポール航空SQ879便 でシンガポールへ。シンガポール航空に乗るのは2011年4月シドニー行ったとき以来3年ぶりです。

桃園空港には午後3時50分に着きました。空港でのチェックイン手続きはチャイナエアライン（中華航空）カウンターにて行います。4日後帰国便のチェックインをエバー航空カウンターで しましたがチャイナエアラインのほうがエバーより親切丁寧だと思いました。

They handed out a hot towel and menu just after getting into the plane. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of a hot towel.
飛行機に乗り込むとすぐに熱いおしぼりとメニューが配られます。おしぼりの写真を撮るのを忘れてしまってすみません。

As always, peanuts was served after the horizontal flight. I got mixed nuts with crackers. It's the best one I've ever eaten!
いつもの通り水平飛行に入ってからピーナッツが配られました。もらったのはクラッカー入りのミックスナッツ。いままで食べたやつで一番よかったです。

Meal. I chose a Chinese food, fish with fried rice. The taste is delicious. I think SQ's in-flight meal is yummy even in economy class.
機内食は中華の魚の焼き飯和えを選択。味はなかなかでした。シンガポール航空の機内食はエコノミークラスであってもおいしいと思います。

I got a strawberry Haagen-dazs as a dessert. I'm glad I got a large size in coach!
デザートとしてハーゲンダッツのストロベリーをもらいました。エコノミー席でLサイズがもらえるなんてとてもうれしいです。

I made a playlist of my favorite classical music Rigoletto La Donna è Mobile on Kris World. I've heard this song on Cathay Pacific's Studio CX before.
リゴレット「女心の歌」をクリスワールドの再生リストに入れて聞きました。以前この歌をキャセイのStudio CXで聞いたことがあります。

The plane has been flying smoothly. However, despite of the heavy landing planes at Changi, the landing permit was not given, waiting about 10 minutes to land.
飛行機は順調に飛行してきたもののチャンギ空港での着陸機混雑のため着陸許可が降りずに上空で10分ほど待機してようやく着陸しました。

After arriving, I call a taxi to Canning Fort Lodge in the city.
到着後タクシーを呼んでもらって市街地にあるカンニング・フォート・ロッジ（Canning Fort Lodge）へ向かいました。

I bought bento at Taipei Station/台北駅にて駅弁を買いました。

I arrived at Taipei Train Station around noon. I've decided to stop bento or a Japanese style boxed lunch shop at the station that I bought a delicious one when I went to Kaohsiung by bullet train in April 2007.
正午ごろ台北駅へ着きました。2007年4月高速鉄道で高雄に行ったとき買った弁当がとてもおいしかったので駅構内にある台鉄便当本舗へ立ち寄ることに。

I bought a Hokkaido style bento. It serves deep fried pork with soy sauce, grilled salmon, quail egg, scallop, sauteed burdock and simmered vegetables on rice. It was so yummy. You can buy many kinds of lunches at major railway stations in Taiwan.
北海道風弁当を買いました。中には豚肉の甘辛煮、鮭の塩焼き、うずらの卵、ホタテ、きんぴらごぼう、野菜の煮物がご飯の上にかかっていました。おいしい～。台湾の主要駅にはいろんな種類の駅弁を販売しています。　

In front of the station square, old Taiwanese train sets, a steam locomotive and a car, are on display.
駅前広場には昔のSLと客車のセットが展示されていました。

Going back to the hotel at 2 o'clock and picked up my luggage. Then, I want to take a bus to Taoyuan International Airport from the nearest bus stop. But I couldn't find it. I had decided to catch a taxi to Taipei Train Station once, then take a bus to the airport from King Bus Terminal on the left of the station. I got off a bus at Terminal 2 where Singapore Airlines arrive and depart.
2時にホテルへ戻って荷物を引き取り近くのバス停から桃園国際空港行きに乗ろうと思って周りを見回したのですがバス停が見つからず近くでタクシーを拾い一旦台北駅まで出て駅左側の国光客運バスターミナルからバスで空港へ。シンガポール航空が発着する第2ターミナルでバスを降りました。

Day3:Taipei panorama from 101 observatory/3日目：101展望台からの台北市内眺望

It was a rainy day. I went to Taipei 101 observatory in the morning. It is located in the 91st floor of the building. We went up to the observatory by elevator.
この日は朝から雨でした。朝は台北101ビルの91階にある展望台に行きました。エレベーターで展望台まで上がりました。

I took many photos of panorama views in each direction. I didn't take any good pictures, but please enjoy them.

市内の眺めを方面ごとに撮影しました。写真写りはあまりよくないのですがどうぞご覧ください。

• North (Taipei City Hall, Songshan Airport etc.)/北（台北市政府（市役所）、松山空港など）

• West (Taipei Station, CKS Memorial Hall etc.)/西（台北駅、中正記念堂など）

• East/東 

There are some high-rise apartments standing in Southeast.
東南部はたくさんの高層マンションが立ち並ぶ。

• South/南

After that, I went to Taipei Train Station to buy a Japanese style lunchbox for lunch by metro.
その後捷運で昼食の弁当を買いに台北駅へ。

Plane spotting on 7 January 2014/2014年1月7日の飛行機観察

I took four airliners from Fukuoka Airport International Terminal before boarding BR 2105 Kitty jet to Taipei.
BR2105便キティジェットの搭乗前に福岡空港国際線ターミナルで4機撮影しました。

• Thai Airways TG649 (A330-300) to Bangkok/タイ国際航空TG649便（A330-300）バンコク行き

Even now, the airline still continuing to code share with Japan Airlines (JAL).
当便は現在でも日本航空（JAL）との共同運航便を継続しています。

• United Airlines UA166 (B737-700) to Guam/ユナイテッド航空UA166便（B737-700）グアム行き

Finally, I caught UA's B737-700s Star Alliance livery. I've already seen her in last November.  However, it was cloudy on this day, so I got too wet. Of course, the image is much darker, it took many times to fix a photo in my paint shop.
UAのB737-700機スターアライアンス塗装機の捕獲に成功しました。昨年11月すでに見かけたのですがこの日の天気は曇りだったので写真がきれいに撮れておらずペイントショップで修正するのに時間がかかりました。

The plane started taxiing and ready for takeoff.
飛行機は離陸に向けてタキシングを開始。

• Asiana Airlines OZ131 (A330-300) to Seoul/アシアナ航空OZ131便（A330-300）ソウル行き

I took the plane to Seoul last July. I was very impressed that the captain came out to the boarding gate and greeting to all passengers. I've never seen before.
昨年7月この飛行機に乗ってソウルへ。今回特に感動したことは機長が搭乗口まで出てきて乗客全員へあいさつをしていたことです。以前乗ったときはありませんでした。

•  The Kitty jet with Jeju Air 7C1101 (B737-800) to Seoul/キティジェットと済州航空7C1101便（B737-800）ソウル行き

Jeju Air was stopped right next to my flight. Air China's B737-800s has been placed on the tarmac at the back. Because of aircraft trouble, the flight 954 to Beijing via Dalian was canceled on the previous day.
搭乗した便のすぐ隣に済州航空が止まっていました。前日の大連経由北京行き中国国際航空954便（B737-800）が機体トラブルのせいで欠航となり奥の駐機場に置かれていました。

Taking Taipei metro to Danshui/捷運で淡水へ

I arrived at Danshui Station at 1:30 pm.  I visited to Fort San Domingo through the bustling Zhongzheng Rd. Here, you'll find many restaurants, coffee shops etc. in this street.  
午後1時30分淡水駅に着きました。レストラン、喫茶店などたくさんの店が並んでいて賑やかな中正路を通って紅毛城へ。

Fort San Domingo was originally built by Spanish in 1629. Later, it was occupied and rebuilt by Dutch. The building was built in all red brick, so it still remains the medieval architecture. When Britain borrowed in 1867, the British consulate was constructed on the east side as consular official residence. Now, photos and materials on modern history are exhibited in the room.
紅毛城は1629年にスペイン人が「サントドミンゴ城」として建立した後に、オランダ人により占領、再建されたものです。この建物はすべて赤レンガで建築されていて中世ヨーロッパの気風があります。1867年にイギリスが借り入れた際に領事官邸として東側に「英国領事館」を建築しました。現在館内では近代史に関する資料および写真を展示しています。

Fort Antonio is located right next to the former British consulate.
旧英国領事館のすぐ隣にはアントニオ城（Fort Antonio）があります。

After that, I took a bus to Fisherman's wharf. The famous lover's bridge across to the fishing harbor.
その後バスで漁港へ。ここには有名な情人橋があって漁港をまたいでいます。

Going back to Danshui Station by bus, I took metro to the next destination, Shilin.
バスで淡水駅まで戻って捷運で次の目的地士林へ。

National Palace Museum, Taipei/台北の故宮博物院

Next morning, I visited to the National Palace Museum.
翌朝国立故宮博物院へ行きました。

Before visiting the museum, I went to Xiantian Temple.
故宮行く前に行天宮（ぎょうてんぐう）に立ち寄りました。

I took Taipei metro Luzhou Line from Xiantian Temple Station to Shilin Station, transfer to Danshui Line at Minquan West Road Station. From there, take a bus to the museum. The sky is getting dark when I arrived.
行天宮駅から捷運蘆州線に乗って民権西路駅から淡水線に乗り換えて士林駅まで出てそこからバスで故宮へ。着いたとき天気が暗くなりかけていました。

I visited there twice since January 2005. This time, it was a special exhibition in the ancient Chinese civilization, such as Kanji or Chinese characters, ceramics, jade etc..
ここを訪れたのは2005年1月以来2度目です。今回特別展示室では漢字、陶器、ヒスイなど古代中華文明に関する特別展示がされていていました。

Administrative building is located right next to the museum.
行政大楼 （ビル）は故宮のすぐ隣にあります。

The rain was falling, so I took a bus in a hurry.
雨が降っていたので急いでバスに乗りました。

Going back to Shilin Station by bus, I took metro to the next destination Danshui.
バスで士林駅まで戻って捷運で次の目的地淡水へ。

Longshan Temple/龍山寺

After leaving CKS Memorial Hall, I visited to Longshan Temple on foot. Among the National Palace Museum, CKS Memorial Hall and Taipei 101 building, it is one of a popular destination in Taipei for foreign tourists.
中正記念堂を後に歩いて龍山寺へ。ここは故宮博物院、中正記念堂、台北101ビルと並び外国人観光客が必ず訪れる場所のひとつです。

It was so crowded with people who pray for success. Also many tourists visited there.
成功祈願を祈る人々で賑わっていました。またたくさんの観光客も来ていました。

I'm so hungry, I want something to eat. I went to Huaxi Street Tourist Night Market nearby. First I ate fried rice with shrimp at a restaurant, then fried dumplings of 8 pieces, smoothies and soft ice cream for dessert on stalls.
お腹がすいてきたのでたまたま近くにある華西街観光夜市に入って食べることに。最初は中華料理店でえび入り焼き飯を食べてその後屋台で8個入り焼き餃子、スムージーとデザートとしてソフトクリームにしました。

I went back to the hotel by Taipei metro then. I got off a metro at Songjiang Nanjing Station, but I lost my way to the hotel. I asked a street people "How do I get there?". A young woman, she thought me the way to the hotel. I want to say thanks to her.
その後台北捷運（＝メトロ）でホテルまで戻りました。松江南京駅でメトロを降りてホテルまでの道のりを迷ったので通りかかりの若い女性に尋ねると道のりを教えていただいて本当に助かりました。

CKS Memorial Hall/中正紀念堂

I arrived at First Hotel at 3:40 pm. After arriving at the hotel, I had planning to go CKS Memorial Hall, Office of the President Republic of China, Lungshan Tample and Huaxi Street Night Market.
午後3時40分に第一大飯店（ホテル）に着きました。ホテル到着後中正記念堂、総統府、龍山寺と華西街観光夜市に行く計画を立てていました。

First, I visited to CKS Memorial Hall. It is a famous monument, landmark and tourist attraction erected in memory of Chiang Kai-shek, former President of the Republic of China.
まず最初に訪れたのは有名な記念碑、象徴、観光スポットかつ中華民国前総統である蒋介石を記念すべく建てられた中正記念堂。

About 500m further up to CKS Memorial Hall, you can see Office of the President Republic of China. It was built in 1919 as the Governor's Office during the Japanese colonial era. It has been demaged by bombing during the Second World War. However, it was rebuilt in 1946.
中正記念堂から500mほど行ったところに総統府があります。この建物は日本統治時代の1919年に総督府として建てられたものです。第2次世界大戦中に爆撃を受けて破損したものの1946年に再建されました。

Day 1: Fly to Taipei with Kitty Jet/1日目：キティジェットで台北へ

Flight report on BR2105 'Kitty jet' to Taipei.
台北までのBR2105便搭乗記です。

On first day, I flew to Taipei by EVA Air BR2105 at 12:15 pm. This is the first time to take EVA Air. I flew with Kitty jet, so was very excited before boarding.

I arrived at the airport 10:50 am. It was 85 minutes before departure. At the time of check-in, the staff told me, "Please sit down in the rear because there are few passengers today". I decided to accept the offer through I had taken an aisle forward seat when I booked my flight.

初日は12:15発エバー航空BR2105便で台北に向かいました。エバーに乗るのは初めてでおまけにキティジェットだったので搭乗前からわくわくしていました。

搭乗時刻85分前の午前10時50分に空港に着きました。チェックインの際職員が”本日は客が少ないので後ろのほうに座ってほしい”ということ。オンライン予約の際前方の通路側席を指定していたのですがしぶしぶ受け入れることに。

The plane left at 12:10 pm local time. Just after the long new year holiday in Japan, there are quite few passengers! In economy class, Taiwanese sat in forward and Japanese are in backward. After 20 minutes, flight attendants served Chicken Teriyaki with rice for lunch. It's different from Cathay Pacific in the same section, you can choose only one meal, and they have no peanut snacks and drink services before meal.
飛行機は午後12時10分に出発しました。お正月の連休明けのせいか機内はガラガラでした。そのせいかエコノミークラスには前方に台湾人で後方に日本人を座らせていました。20分後、機内乗務員が照り焼きチキンとご飯和えを配りました。同区間のキャセイパシフィック航空と違って機内食は1食しか選択できず食前のピーナッツやドリンクサービスなどはありません。

The plane arrived at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport at 1:47 pm local time. I saw A321-200 which is stopping at the next gate. This is BR808 from Macau. 　
飛行機は現地時刻の午後1時47分に到着。偶然にも隣のゲートに止まっているA321-200機を見ました。当便はマカオ発BR808便です。

You can see the big welcome sign after immigration. They've a stamp sign too!
入国後’ようこそ台湾へ’と書かれた大きなサインが見えます。そこにはスタンプサインもあります。

I found a cute object at the entrance.

I took a bus to First Hotel in downtown Taipei.
バスで台北市街にある第一大飯店（ホテル）に向かいました。

Go traveling to Taipei and Singapore

As I mentioned before, I'm traveling to Taipei and Singapore for 6 days from tomorrow.

I'm so excited to go Taipei in five years since April 2007.  During my stay in Taipei, I'll visit to Lungshan Temple, National Palace Museum, CKS (=Chiang Kai-shek) Memorial Hall, and Danshui. There are many food vendors in some places of the city, one is Ximen, the bustling street. The another one is around the Siling Station on MTR, located in the North and is the nearest station to National Palace Museum.

Thai Airways Boeing 777-300s at Fukuoka/福岡空港でのタイ国際航空B777-300機

During the New Year holidays, Thai Airways TG648/649 flights to/from Bangkok will be operated by Boeing 777-300s (773) on some days, 28, 29, 30 December and 3, 4 January. This is the first time to see TG's 773s. Why these flights were specially operated by B773s? There are I have two reasons:

• In Japan, the New Year holidays from 28 December to 5 January. Some Japanese take a holiday and travel abroad.
• An increased number of tourists from Thailand. From 1 July 2013, a short-stay tourist visa is not required for Thai passport holders.

お正月の連休期間中バンコク発着タイ国際航空TG648/649便 の一部曜日に限りB777-300機（773）で運航しています。当機材での運航日は12月28、29、30日、1月3、4日です。TGの773機を見たのは今回が初めてです。なぜ当便はB773機で運航していたのでしょうか？理由は2つ考えられます。

• 12月28日から1月5日までお正月連休が続くのでたくさんの人々が海外に出かける
• 2013年7月1日からタイ市民への短期滞在観光ビザが廃止されたため同国からの観光客数が増加

Today, I tried to take a photo from a sports ground facing to the Rwy 34R.
今日は滑走路34Rに面した運動場から撮影してみました。

Cape Kozakibana (神崎鼻), Sasebo

Finally, we visited to Cape Kozakibana, the westernmost tip of mainland Japan.

We stopped to Kozaki Catholic Church (神崎カトリック教会) before going to there.

About 150m further up to the promenade from the entrance, you will get to Cape Kozakibana Park. From the park, we saw the most beautiful sunset for East China Sea.

Note: Presently, the stairs from the park is under construction. Once you go back to the entrance,  take the right trail to reach this point.
