I bought pretty horse dolls at Nagasaki Chinatown

Yesterday we had decided to take a drive to Nagasaki. As usual, we bought some "horse"🐎 Chinese new year goods at Min-min boutique shop in Chinatown.

We came here around 5 o'clock. When I ordered a braised pork bun at the takeaway booth of the neighboring Chinese restaurant, Shunkashuto (春夏秋冬), the manager came out and I was nice to see her again after 6 years😊

It was a great evening yesterday, the street is very quiet. There are few tourists and local people. Nagasaki has many places to visit, but they always go to the Peace Museum and Mount Inasa, Japan's three best night views.

I bought two horse🐴 toys; both are the same but the color is different😄 I also bought a pretty tiger🐯 mascot❗

Seeing Yame Bonbori Hinamatsuri dolls festival

On Monday, we had decided to take a drive🚙 to Yame to see Hinamatsuri dolls🎎 festival, a special day in Japan. Hinamatsuri is celebrated each year on March 3.

We visited to Yame Yokomachi Machiya Koryukan (八女横町町家交流館), a venue which is the doll festival is held. We parked a car at Fukushima Hachimangu Shinto shrine, and take a short walk to the place.

Seven-tiered Hina Doll set at the fusuma room.
A set of Hakobina (箱雛) boxed dolls made from recycled materials👍
Cute baby paper dolls with Sagemon ornaments hanging in the room😍
Hina dolls that stack together inside each other. I was amazed to see the beauty of Japanese culture such as clothes, and landscape garden😁

It's been almost 10 years..

A happy new year to everyone.

The arrival of new year 2026🐎.

I'm posting a picture of Shin-Aso Ohashi Bridge and the Sugaru (数鹿流) collapse site from the Yo Myuru (ヨ・ミュール) viewpoint taken on January 3, 2025📸

It's been almost 10 years since the earthquake in Kumamoto. The earthquake caused the Aso Ohashi Bridge to collapse😲
