Strolling around Hasami's pottery village, part 1

On Tuesday, we had decided to take a drive to Hasami. It is known, along with neighboring Arita for its china manufacturing.

About a few kilometers further down the narrow road from the Hakusan Porcelain head office, you'll arrive at Nakaogo (中尾郷), "The Village of the Secret Kilns", used to be the home of the Omura clan kilns. The first production of ceramics is from the 1600s. Even now, it has been kept Japan's largest producer of porcelain tableware manufacturers, especially for tea cups.
A unique stone wall along the road. Like Okawachiyama pottery village in Imari, it is a made of porcelain.

After leaving the village, we headed out to Ceramics Park Hasami, a theme park located in the heart of the town.
 To be continued..
