Cranes wintering in Izumi, Kagoshima

"Ten thousand cranes migrating from Siberia every winter"

After we left Minamata, we were visited to Izumi located the Northern part of Kagoshima Prefecture. Izumi is famous for more than ten thousand cranes from Siberia every year to winter at the Crane Migration Grounds in Sho area.

An observatory. This day (12 December 2011) a total of 11,165 cranes that migrate from Siberia.

After we left there, we headed off to Sogi Fall in Isa before returning to home.
