Rakusui-en (楽水園), Fukuoka

"A quite atmosphere in the city".

I was visited to Rakusui-en, a garden in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka on 03 November 2011. This day was a public holiday called Culture Day, many events were held at tea rooms.

Summery
It was built in 1906 by Shimozawa Zenemon Chikamasa, a Hakata merchant. In 1995, Fukuoka City overhauled the structure and reopened it as a Japanese garden where visitors can experience a tea ceremony; with four tea rooms (two of which are available for use by general visitors) it's often used for tea ceremonies and related training.
