On the second day, I went to Jiu Fen Old Street, a traditional town located in the Eastern suburbs of Taipei and is on the stage of the classic film "City of Sadness". Leaving the atmosphere that is flourished as a town of gold mine discovered in 1890. Since then, the town has developed greatly as a result of the gold rush. The spectacular view spreads out in front of your eyes; it is continuously built old houses, stone steps and stone paving alleys on the slopes of a mountainside overlooking the sea. I feel very nostalgic of Japan in the 1950-60s.
2日目はかつて金鉱の街として栄えた雰囲気を残し名作映画「悲情城市」の舞台である九フンに行って来ました。1890年の金鉱の発見でゴールドラッシュに沸いた面影が残っていて、海を望む山の斜面に石段や石畳の小道や古い家並みが続き、情緒豊かで懐かしい風景が広がっています。
I took a bus from my hotel, the Orchard Park Taoyuan to Taipei Main Station. Because there is no direct bus service between here and there, I must change a bus at Dayuan near the 7-11 convenience store. From there, I took a train to the nearest station, Ruifang. Then I'm heading to Jiu Fen by bus. But I made a serious mistake twice on the way, finally I arrived there at about 3:30 pm.
宿泊先であるホテルオーチャドパーク桃園からセブンイレブン近くの大園農会でバスを乗り継ぎ台北駅まで出て、列車で最寄り駅である瑞芳（ルイファン）駅まで乗ってそこからバスで九フンに向かうことになっていたのですが途中で2度乗り間違えてしまい結局着いたのは午後3時30分ごろでした。

入り口はいつも観光客で混みあっているので待っておかなければなりません。
The Jishan Street is a cobbled path which is the main role of Jiu Fen's old street. A lot of souvenirs and local specialty restaurants are putting them together on both sides of the street, it's a taste of an old fashioned.
九フンのメインストリート的存在である基山街（チーサンチェ）は石畳の小道となっていて、たくさんのお土産店や食堂が道の両脇に軒を連ね、昔ながらの風情を醸し出しています。
The Chiu Chunt Dint B&B and Cafe. It's a cheap accommodation and is quite famous for backpackers.
ここはあの有名なカフェと安い民宿です。
Just coming out the Jishen main street and went down the stairs, there is a gold mine museum. A young girl very welcomed to join us a tour. Her English is very fluent, and she explained to us in more details. She also gave demonstration us how to process gold mine.
基山街を抜けてすぐの階段を下るとそこには金鉱博物館があります。スタッフの若い女性は英語がペラペラで採掘の歴史を詳しく説明してくれてその上に実演までしてくれてとても明朗な方でした。
After that I visited to the Fifth Tunnel Memorial Park. This park is not far from the museum, it takes a 5 minute walk from there.
その後近くの五番坑道紀念公園へ。そこから歩いて5分ほどです。
Going back the Qingbien Road just a little, you'll see the long and steep stairs access to the Jishen main street. While walking, you can have an amazing look at old houses near the mountains.
軽便路（チンビエンルー）を少しだけ戻ると基山街に通じる長くて急な階段が見えてきます。ここは山の近くの古い家並みが真近に迫っていて一見の見ごたえがあります。
Coming out of the main street and go for a while, you'll find the signboard of Shuqi Road. Then turn left from there and go down the long stone steeps, there are some retro tea houses with an open terrace.
基山路に出てしばらく行くと豎崎路(スーチールー）の通りの看板が見えてきます。そこから左に曲がって長い石段を下るとオープンテラスを設けたレトロな茶芸館がたくさんあります。
The time is already 6 o'clock. To tell the truth, I want to visit one more place near Jiu Fen. Taxis are waiting at a stand on the national highway. So I ask the driver to go there. But he didn't know where it is. I was looking at the taxi navigation carefully, he was seen to have entered a command to go the Peace Memorial Park of Taipei. Eventually, I went back to Taipei through the freeway. When getting nearer, I told him to go Taipei Main Station to get off. The taxi arrived at Taipei Main Station safely. I paid a taxi fare, and it takes 1,200 NTD (=about 4,700 JPY and 39 USD as of May 11, 2015) from Jiu Fen. Say good-bye to him, I want to have a dinner then. I found food courts on the second floor of the station. After that I took a bus to Taoyuan Airport at 8:45 pm from the bus terminal opposite the railway station. I got off a bus at Terminal 1 and see while strolling the terminal. Finally, I took a taxi to my hotel.
時刻はすでに6時。本当は九フンの近くにある別の名所に行きたくてタクシー乗り場に止まっていた運転士さんに「そこに行ってほしい」とお願いしたのですが場所がわからずにタクシーのナビを見ると台北の2・28和平記念公園へ行く指示を入力していたようで結局高速道路を通って台北市内に戻る羽目に。そこが近つくと今度は「台北駅に行って降ろしてほしい」と伝え、無事台北駅に着いて料金の1200台湾ドル（およそ4,700円）を払い後にしました。その後駅2階にあるフードコートにて夕食を取り、向かいのバスターミナルで20時45分発の桃園空港行きバスに乗ってターミナル1で降りて構内をブラ歩きしながら見てタクシーでホテルへ。
