Day 4: A day trip to Tainan, part 2/4日目:台南日帰り旅行記(その2)

I'll keep posting a blog on my day trip to Tainan on April 21.
4月21日の台南日帰り旅行記の続きです。

I took a route 88 bus from Shennong Old Street and am heading to the Fort Zeelandia, the oldest castle in Taiwan which was built in 1624 during the Dutch occupancy.
神農老街から88番バスでオランダ統治時代の1624年に建てられた台湾で最も古い城堡である安平古堡へ。
Statue of Koxinga welcomes you to visit. He is regarded as the hero of Han Chinese because he drove the Dutch out of the country and gave power back to Taiwan in 1662. After that he was living in this castle over three generations.
入口には1662年に台湾を占拠していたオランダ人を撃退し3代にわたってこの城に住み続けた鄭成功像が建っています。
When going into the castle, I visited to the Fort Zeelandia Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall. The exhibition hall is located on the North side of the castle and was renovated customs headquarters by the Japanese in 1930. During the Japanese occupation era, they were cutting the walls to flatten and built the red brick flatbed and customs quarters there. As a result, the building of the Dutch era was once all destroyed. After the World War Two, it was renamed as Anping Fort by the Taiwanese Government, and built the present Fort Zeelandia Memorial Hall and observatory for tourism. In 1975, the large-scale repair work has been done, and it is used as as a pavilion to introduce the history of Anping from the Dutch occupancy to the present.  
中に入って早速安平古堡文物陳列館へ。古堡の北側に位置するこの展示館は日本統治時代の1930年に税関宿舎を改築したものです。日本統治時代ここの城壁を平らに削り、赤レンガの平台と税関宿舎が建てられ、オランダ時代の建物は一旦全て破壊されました。戦後国民党政府によって「安平古堡」と改名し、現在の安平古堡古蹟記念館や展望台が観光用に建てられました。その後1975年大規模な修復工事を行い、オランダ統治時代から現代に至る安平の歴史を紹介する展示館として利用されています。
Next, I went to the Old Tait & Co. Merchant House near the Fort Zeelandia. It was originally built and managed by the British and is one of the few valuable presence in Taiwan. This two-story white building still remains the vestiges of the past.
次は安平古堡に近い徳記洋行へ行きました。ここは元イギリス人経営の貿易商のお店で、台湾では数少ない存在でした。真っ白な外観の2階建ての建物で、当時の面影が残っています。

Then I went into the Anping tree house right next to the merchant house. It used to be a warehouse of the Old Tait & Co., a British trading company, at that time. Now there are intertwined with several old banyan trees in and out of the warehouse. The trunk grows along the wall, branches and leaves have becomes the roof, it's a natural works of art. It looks so scary, but you just relax and have a look at the strength of the life force of the banyan trees!
その後徳記洋行のちようど隣にある安平樹屋のガジュマルの木の中に入ってみました。ここは元々英商の倉庫で現在では倉庫の内外に古いガジュマルの木がいくつも絡み合っています。樹幹は壁に沿って成長していき、枝や葉が屋根となっていて、天然の芸術作品のようです。一瞬怖そうな感じがしますがぜひ中へ入ってみてガジュマルの木の生命力の強さをご覧になってはいかがでしょうか。

Before going back to the railway station, I stopped at some touristic places nearby. First, I visited to a tradtional Japanese-style house that has been used for the senior managers of Taiwan salt company during the Japanese occupancy.
駅に戻る前に付近の観光名所にいくつか立ち寄って見ました。最初に行ったのが日本統治時代に台南鹽業公司(台塩)幹部の宿舎として使用していた台塩日式宿舎です。

There is a Japanese garden, too. It's so small, but beautiful.
もちろんそこには和式庭園もあります。
A souvenir shop to sell local salt products. The greeting sign language  いらっしゃいませ  is written in a rattan blind, which means "welcome" in Japanese.
現地生産の塩を販売している宿舎内のお土産店。
The Old Julius Mannich Merchant House was a former German trading company, and was built by a German merchant. It seems to have been carried out business such as camphor, sugar and opium sales, and steamship operations etc.. in the building.
徳商東興洋行はドイツ商によって建られ、樟脳や砂糖、アヘンの販売と汽船運営などをしていた建物です。


I passed through the side of Anping Chinese temple, and strolled more traditional and quite busy arcade called Yanping Street. Finally I arrived at the Fort Zeelandia bus stop. The bus to Tainan Railway Station is a frequent service, operating every 15 minutes per hour.
安平天后宮そばを通り抜けて庶民的な賑わいを見せる延平街(ヤンピンジェ)をブラ歩きしながら台南駅行き2番バスが出ている近くの安平古堡バス停へ。バスは15分ごとに出ていてとても便利です。
The temple gate. It's a typical Chinese style, decorated with two things for happiness, raising dragons and jades on top of the gate.
天后宮の正門。門の上のほうには昇竜と翡翠が飾られていていかにも中華式という感じがします。
I took a bus from there. It takes a 45 minute journey, arrived at the railway station at 6:15 pm. I bought an express train ticket to Kaohsiung at a ticket window. The train will leave at 6:55 pm. Before that, I bought a Japanese style boxed meal at a bento shop located in the station platform. It serves deep fried pork with soy sauce, grilled salmon, quail egg, sauteed burdock and simmered vegetables on rice. It's my favorite one, so I ate it all up.
5時30分ごろのバスに乗って駅に着いたのが6時15分ごろ。切符売り場で6時55分発の高雄行き自強号のチケットを買い、乗り場へ向かいました。その前にホームにある弁当店で大好物である骨付き豚の甘辛煮弁当を買って乗る前に食べてしまいました。
The train came here right on time. Unlike the going train, it was crowded with many passengers.While enjoy surfing the Internet and listening to music on my Google Nexus7, the train arrives at Kaohsiung. After that I went to Rouhe Tourist Night Market, Kaohsiung's premier night market.
列車は定刻通りやってきました。行きと違いたくさんの客が乗っていました。車内で持参したGoogle Nexus 7でインターネットしたり、音楽を聴きながら楽しんでいるうちに高雄に到着。その後高雄で最も有名な夜市である六合観光夜市へ。

Day 4: A day trip to Tainan, part 1/4日目:台南日帰り旅行記(その1)

This day I made a short trip to Tainan, a historic city in South Taiwan. The Dutch has been established the Government Office in 1624 during their occupancy. Even after the Dutch troops repulsed by Koxinga, it is an ancient city that has prospered as a capital of Taiwan for more then 200 years. The place is known as Taiwan's old city because of more than 200 temples and historical sites around there.
この日は台湾の小京都とも呼ばれる台南まで日帰り旅行しました。オランダ統治時代の1624年に政庁が置かれて以降、鄭成功がオランダ軍撃退後も、200年以上にわたって台湾の首府として繁栄した古都です。この地には200を超える寺廟や史跡が点在していて台湾の京都とも称されます。

I took an express train from Kaohsuing, and it arrived at Tainan about 40 minutes.
高雄から自強号と呼ばれる特急列車で向かい、およそ40分ほどで台南駅へ到着。
After getting off from a train, I walked to the Koxinga Shrine. The shrine is prayed for the hero Koxinga; He drove the Dutch out of the country and gave power back to Taiwan. When he was died in 1662, his worshipers has been decided to build a shrine for his meritorious deed and it gave a name to the founding dynasty. During the Japanese occupation era, it was renamed as Kaizan-jinja Shrine and was built a Japanese-style worship hall. However, all the shrine hall was torn down after the war and have been replaced into reinforced concrete of the temple which imitates the Northern China style architecture.   
列車から降りて歩いて延平郡王祠へ。台湾を占拠していたオランダ軍を撃退した英雄鄭成功を讃え、鄭が死去した1662年に彼を慕う人々によって創建され、開山王朝と名付けられました。日本統治時代は開山神社と改称され日本式の拝殿が造られたものの戦後社殿がすべて取り壊され、中国北方式建築を模した鉄筋コンクリート製の廟に立て替えられました。


After that I visited to the Tainan Confucius Temple. Built in 1665, it is the oldest higher educational institutions in Taiwan. The statue of Confucius is located in the worship hall, and a plaque of Taiwan's first academic institute has shown at the gate.
その後孔子廟へ。1665年に創建された台湾最古の最高学府は大成殿に孔子を祀り、門には「全台首学」の額を門に掲げています。
Go straight to the North and after passing a traffic circle, you'll see the big Far Eastern Plaza entertainment center cinema complex. Then turn left from here and going straight for a while, I finally arrived at the Fort Provintia. This is Tainan's oldest building with red bricks, which was built by Dutch in 1653 after the collision incident between the Dutch and Chinese immigrants in the previous year.
さらに北へ向かってまっすぐ進みロータリを過ぎると大遠百娯楽城と呼ばれる大きな複合施設と映画館が見えてきます。そこを左に曲がってまっすぐ行くとしばらくして赤カン楼にたどり着きます。ここは1653年にオランダ人が建造した紅毛楼の異名を持つ赤レンガ造りの台南最古の建築物です。


I was strolling around the Shennong Old Street near the Fort Provintia. The street is still remaining old houses which are built more than 200 years from the Qing Dynasty era. There is some cafes and galleries in the street, you can have a nice coffee break and see painting arts etc.
その後200年以上昔の家屋が残り清代のたたずまいを感じさせる通り神農老街をぶら歩きしました。古い民家のいくつかはカフェやギャラリーとして利用されています。



The time is already 3 pm. There is a bus stop just around the corner, I looked up bus timetable for Fort Zeelandia. There is a direct bus service will be coming soon. The bus will leaves at 3:29 pm, so I'm waiting for a while.
時刻はすでに3時。ちようど突き当たりの海安路二段に神農街というバス停があったので調べて見ると3時29分発の安平古堡行き直通バスがあるのでしばらく待つことに。

Plane spotting at Incheon International Airport, part 2/仁川空港での飛行機撮影(その2)

I want to keep uploading my taking pictures of planes from Incheon International Airport Sky deck observatory.
仁川空港展望台から撮影した飛行機を引き続きUPしていきたいと思います。

An Emirates flight EK322 from Dubai was landing on Rwy 34 at 5:05 pm.
午後5時05分にエミレーツ航空のドバイ発EK322便が滑走路34へ着陸。
I've already uploaded in my blog, this is the Rugby World Cup England 2015 special livery drawing up a big advert into the rear.
すでにブログにUPしているのですが当機は今年のラグビーワールドカップイングランド開催を記念した特別塗装で後部には広告が大きく描かれています。
When the plane was making u-turn on the runway, an Air China B737-800 plane was touched down on the opposite side.
飛行機が滑走路をUターンしたとき、中国国際航空のB737-800型機が向かい側に着陸していました。
After a few minutes, it arrived at the usual place, gate 122. This gate becomes a correspondence for A380s, therefore it has been installed 3 boarding bridges in this gate.
数分後いつものゲート122へ到着。当ゲートはA380機対応となっていてボーディングブリッジが3基設置されています。
A Delta Airlines flight DL159 from Detroit was landing on Rwy 34 at 5:29 pm.
午後5時29分にデルタ航空のデトロイト発DL159便が滑走路34へ着陸。

The plane arrived at Incheon at about 30 minutes earlier than scheduled.
飛行機は予定より30分ほど早く仁川へ到着。
At 5:43 pm: A Thai Airways flight TG635 to Bangkok via Taipei was kept pushing back and ready for takeoff.
午後5時43分:タイ国際航空の台北経由バンコク行きTG635便が離陸に向けてプッシュバック中。
At 6:15 pm: A Hawaiian Airlines flight HA459 from Honolulu was landing and running on Rwy 33R.
午後6時15分:ハワイアン航空のホノルル発HA459便が滑走路33Rへ着陸し走行中。
An Asiana Airlines flight OZ624 (B767-300) from Saipan was landing on Rwy 34 at 6:31 pm. The aircraft registration number is HL7615, and is a Star Alliance special livery which the airline promote that is a member of the world's largest airline alliance. 
午後6時31分にアシアナ航空のサイパン発OZ624便(B767-300)が滑走路34に着陸。機体番号はHL7615でした。当機はスターアライアンス特別塗装機となっています。

A Cathay Pacific flight CX418 from Hong Kong was landing on Rwy 34 at 6:41 pm.
午後6時41分にキャセイパシフィック航空の香港発CX418便が滑走路34へ着陸。

This time, a Singapore Airlines flight SQ15 from San Fransisco has been simultaneous landing to the opposite runway. By the way, the final destination of this flight is the carrier's main hub airport, Singapore.
このときシンガポール航空のサンフランシスコ発SQ15便が反対側の滑走路へ同時着陸していました。ちなみに当便の最終目的地は同社のハブ空港であるシンガポールです。
Both planes are taxiing on each runway toward the arrival gates.
2機とも到着ゲートへ向けてそれぞれの滑走路を走行中です。
A Shanghai Airlines flight FM828 to Shanghai Pudong was taking off on Rwy 34 at 6:46 pm. It's the first time to see planes takeoff from the runway on this day.
午後6時46分に上海航空のFM828便上海浦東行きが滑走路34から離陸。当滑走路から離陸する飛行機を見たのはこの日初めてです。
An Asiana Airlines flight OZ272 to Seattle was taking off on Rwy 34 at 7:00 pm.
午後7時にアシアナ航空のシアトル行きOZ272便が滑走路34から離陸。
A Korean Air flight KE679 to Hanoi was taking off immediately after the Asiana flight.
アシアナ機のすぐ後に大韓航空のKE679便ハノイ行きが離陸。
At 7:06 pm: An EVA Air flight BR160 (A330-300) from Taipei arrived at gate 122 after landing on Rwy 33R. The aircraft registration number B-16332 is the 2nd fleet of its Kitty jet livery which is the nickname of Hello Kitty Loves Apple, and the name of this plane is derived from a profile of Hello Kitty that she loves her mom's home-made apple pie.
午後7時06分:エバー航空の台北発BR160便(A330-300)が滑走路33Rに着陸後タキシングしながらゲート122へ到着。機体番号はB-16332でした。当機はキティジェットの2機目アップル(Hello Kitty Loves Apple)で一番好きな食べ物はお母さんの手作りアップルパイというハローキティのプロフィールに由来しています。
The sky was getting more and more dark, I was finished the photo shooting then. I kept watching planes takeoff and landing actions until a Singapore Airlines plane was taking off at about 8:30.   
空がだんだんと暗くなりかけてきたのでこれで撮影は終了しました。後はシンガポール航空機が滑走路34から離陸する8時30分過ぎごろまで眺めていました。

Plane spotting at Incheon International Airport, part 1/仁川空港での飛行機撮影(その1)

I tried to take pictures of planes from Incheon International Airport Sky deck during my stay in Seoul from April 24 to 27. The shooting times are from 3:00 to 8:30 pm, Saturday on April 25. Last time I did it from noon to 2 pm on October 26, 2014. But this time I want to see the evening landings of airliners, mainly from North America and Middle East.
4月24日から27日までのソウル滞在中のうち25日の午後3時から8時30分まで仁川空港展望台を訪れ飛行機撮影しました。前回は昨年10月26日の昼12時から2時までしたのですが今回は北米や中東などの航空会社の着陸シーンを見たかったのでそれらが飛来する夕刻に行きました。

Let's start uploading! It should be noted that, this day was using the opposite side of runways 33R and 34 for takeoff and landing.
それではUPを開始します。ちなみにこの日は反対側の33Rと34滑走路から離着陸していました。

An Air Asia X flight D7504 from Kuala Lumpur was landing on Rwy 34 at 3:05 pm. This is my first taking picture of planes on this day.
午後3時05分にエアアジア・Xのクアラルンプール発D7504便が滑走路34へ着陸。この日最初に撮影した飛行機です。

This time, a China Southern Airlines flight CZ3062 from Guangzhou has been simultaneous landing to the opposite runway.
このとき中国南方航空の広州発CZ3062便が反対側の滑走路へ同時着陸していました。
At 3:51 pm: An Air Canada flight AC063 from Vancouver arrived at gate 116 after landing on Rwy 33R.
午後3時51分:エア・カナダのバンクーバー発AC063便が滑走路33Rに着陸後タキシングしながらゲート116へ到着。
From March 2, the airline was started a B787 regular flight to Seoul Incheon once per day. As of May 2015, four airliners come flying B787s to Incheon; Air India, Air Canada (see the photo below), British Airways and Ethiopian Airlines.
去る3月2日から同社の仁川線にB787機による定期便を就航させ、1日1便運航しています。2015年5月現在仁川にB787機で飛来しているのはエア・インディア、エア・カナダ(写真)、ブリティッシュ・エアウェイズ(英国航空)とエチオピア航空の4社です。
A Delta Airlines flight DL199 from Seattle was landing on Rwy 34 at 4:10 pm. The airline will be sending A330s to their Seattle - Incheon route on a daily basis. However, the company will be made aircraft changes to B767s on this day.
午後4時10分にデルタ航空のシアトル発DL199便が滑走路34へ着陸。同社のシアトルー仁川便は基本的にA330機で運航していますがこの日はB767機に機材変更していました。

6 minutes after, I was taking a picture of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Boeing 747-400 plane being towed to the tarmac.
6分後に駐機場へ牽引されているKLMオランダ航空のB747-400機を撮影。
At 4:23 pm: A Thai Airways flight TG634 from Bangkok via Taipei arrived at Gate 123 after landing on Rwy 33R.
午後4時23分:タイ国際航空のバンコク発台北経由TG634便が滑走路33Rに着陸後タキシングしゲート123へ到着。
Shortly after, an Air China flight CA125 from Beijing was landing on Rwy 34.
すぐ後に中国国際航空の北京発CA125便が滑走路34に着陸。
At 4:29 pm: A United Airlines flight UA892 to San Francisco was kept pushing back and ready for takeoff.
午後4時29分:ユナイテッド航空のサンフランシスコ行きUA892便が離陸に向けてプッシュバック中。
3 minutes after, a Turkish Airlines flight TK90 from Istanbul was landing on Rwy 34. The company was introduced Boeing 777-300ER to this flight from April 13. I was luckily to see the brand new B777s.
3分後トルコ航空(ターキッシュエアラインズ)のイスタンブール発TK90便が滑走路34へ着陸。同社は4月13日から当便にB777-300ER機を投入しました。その直後だけにカメラに収めることができて本当にラッキーでした。
An Asiana Airlines flight OZ221 from New York JFK was landing on Rwy 34 at 4:41 pm.
午後4時41分にアシアナ航空のニューヨークJFK発OZ221便が滑走路34へ着陸。

A Korean Air flight KE082 from New York JFK was touched down after a while. It was the highlight of plane spotting on this day; I've seen two A380 flights of Korean flag carriers, Korean Air and the above-mentioned Asiana Airlines.
しばらくしてから大韓航空のニューヨークJFK発KE082便が着陸。韓国系2社のA380機フライト到着シーンが見れたので圧巻でした。

At 4:56 pm, two Airliners meet each other on Rwy 34. When an Asiana A330-300 plane was landing, a wing let equipped China Eastern Airlines A320s was running on the runway.
午後4時56分:アシアナ航空のA330-300機が滑走路34に着陸した際、滑走路を走行中の中国東方航空のA320ウイングレット装備機とすれ違いました。
