Travel abroad: Singapore and Sydney for 7 days in April 2011 (Part3)/海外旅行:2011年4月シンガポール・シドニー7日間(その3)

My flight arrived at Sydney at 5:30am. The sky was still dark. After arrival, I headed off to Travelodge Hotel by taxi. I guess "I could sleep early in the morning" in the taxi. However, I couldn't do it. My hotel check-in is accepted from 3pm. So I was walked around Circular Quay first, then I went to Bondi Beach by bus./シドニーには朝5時30分に到着しました。

Heiwadai Park (平和台公園), Miyazaki

I took three photos of Heiwadai Park, located in Miyazaki city. These photos are taken on 04 November 2010.

Summery
Heiwadai Tower or "Peace Tower" (also known as the Hakkō ichiu monument), in the expansive Heiwadai park, is a must-see for tourists. Originally the "Tower of the Emperor," symbolizing Japanese imperial expansion, it was renamed for peace after the events of World War II.
Next to Heiwadai Tower, there is a Haniwa sculpture figures in garden. The garden is home to a collection of nearly 400 burial statues that include not just those of warriors, but also of animals, dancers, houses, boats and other influential entities. It was a practice during the rule of the Kofun dynasty to create clay statues around the burial grounds of the dead.

Yuki Kashiwagi (柏木由紀) appears on local TV shows and ads in Kagoshima

Today, I'm gathering about a collection of Yuki Kashiwagi, nicknamed as "Yukirin" (ゆきりん), appears on local TV shows and ads in her home town Kagoshima Prefecture. She's currently the member B of AKB48, the best female idol group in Japan and ranked third in the general election for all AKB48 members in 2011.

First, I'm uploading two "Honmono Kagoshima" (=The Real Kagoshima) campaign videos on YouTube. The "Honmono Kagoshima" campaign, which coincident with the full opening of Kyushu Shinkansen in last spring, has been made for domestic tourists from Kanto, Chubu, Kansai and Chugoku areas. The cost expanses over 60 million yen.

Enjoy!

The Minami Aso area (南阿蘇地域;Takamori town (高森町) and Minamiaso village (南阿蘇村)), Kumamoto

After we left Yame Tea Plantation, we went to the Minami Aso area (Takamori town and Minamiaso Village) in Kumamoto Prefecture.  In Takamori, we saw Mount Neko (根子岳), one of the five mountains of Aso from Tsukimari Park (月廻り公園) where you can see the mountains closely. After that, we went to Minamiaso to see Isshingyo big cherry tree (一心行の大桜). However, most of the blossoms had already fallen off the trees due to an early bloom. Finally, we went to Aso bo-no-go Kugino (あそ望の郷くぎの) to see the five mountains of Aso. From here, you can see the magnificent view of Aso mountains.
