We went to Miyazaki and Kagoshima for 2 days on November 3 and 4.
First, we went to Horikiri Pass (堀切峠 -touge) in Miyazaki city. Horikiri Pass is one of the most popular tourist spots in southern Miyazaki because of so many things to see along the Nichinan coast.
Driving on National Route 220 and Miyazaki Prefectural Route 377 from Miyazaki Interchange on Miyazaki Expressway and passing some gentle curves, we came to Horikiri Pass.
We parked a car in the Michi-no-eki (=Roadside station) Phoenix located on the opposite side of the coast. There is an observation deck, you can see the magnificent sea view in front of you. If you go down the stairs to the beach, you'll see rare rocks created by wave erosion.
