China Airlines A340-300 comes to Fukuoka again!/チャイナエアラインのA340-300機が福岡に再飛来！

Today, China Airlines A340-300 comes to Fukuoka on CI116/117 flights. The plane was landing on Rwy 16R at 5:51 pm and takeoff at 7:19 pm. I saw China Airlines A340 "dynasty" twice this month, since the 19th of May.

今日チャイナエアラインのA340-300機がCI116/117便で福岡に再飛来しました。飛行機は午後5時51分に滑走路16Rに着陸し午後7時19分に離陸しました。チャイナのA340機”ダイナスティー”を見たのは19日に続き今月2回目です。

The Louvre, Paris/パリのルーブル博物館

On the 5th day in Paris, I went to the Louvre in the morning. It's so big than I thought. There are many arts and collections in the museum, so I was left on the way.

パリ滞在の5日目の朝ルーブル博物館に行ってきました。館内は広くて展示物が多かったので途中で退出しました。

Asiana Airlines B777-200ER at Fukuoka Airport/福岡空港でのアシアナ航空B777-200ER機

Recently, Asiana Airlines B777-200ER come to Fukuoka more often because an increasing number of foreigners visiting Japan. She is mainly used on OZ131/132 morning flights, and OZ135/136 evening flights especially on Sundays.

最近日本を訪れる外国人観光客の増加でアシアナ航空のB777-200ER機が福岡に飛来する日が多くなりました。同機は主にOZ131/132午前便および日曜などのOZ135/136午後便で運用されています。

Glover Garden (グラバー園), Nagasaki

After leaving Oura Catholic Church, we went to Glover Garden, a park built for Thomas Blake Glover, a Scottish merchant. From Oura Church, it is easily accessed by a small pathway.

From here, you can see the magnificent view of the entire Port and city of Nagasaki.

Oura Catholic Church (大浦天主堂)

Ōura Church (大浦天主堂, Ōura Tenshudō^?) is a Roman Catholic church in Nagasaki, Japan, built soon after the end of the Japanese government's Seclusion Policy in 1853. It is also known as the Church of the 26 Japanese Martyrs. It was for many years the only western-style building declared a national treasure, and is said to be the oldest church in Japan.

Asiana Airlines Fukuoka - Jeju route/アシアナ航空の福岡ー済州線

Asiana Airlines operate on their Fukuoka - Jeju route three times per week. Flight schedules will be different depending on the departure day. From Fukuoka, at 10 am on Wednesdays, and 1 pm on Fridays and Sundays. From Jeju, at 7:50 pm on Tuesdays, and 11 am on Fridays and Sundays. Since there's no demand for business, flight schedules are suitable for tourists.

Cathay Pacific A340-300 comes to Fukuoka again!/キャセイパシフィック航空のA340-300機が福岡に再飛来！

I took Cathay Pacific A340-300 flight CX511 to Hong Kong via Taipei takeoff on Rwy 16R at 11:06 am in Japan time. I saw Cathay's A340 "European queen" since 05 August 2012.

キャセイパシフィック航空CX511便台北経由香港行きのA340-300機を午前11時06分に滑走路16Rから離陸するところです。キャセイのA340を見たのは昨年の8月5日以来です。

I caught China Airlines A340-300 today!/チャイナエアラインのA340-300機を捕獲しました！

I took China Airlines A340-300 (reg:B-18806) flight CI116 from Taipei at 5:28 pm on Rwy 16R. I was checked it out at China Airlines website yesterday, today's flight will be operated by A340-300 long-haul equipment, so I want to take this plane at the airport.

チャイナエアラインのA340-300機(機体番号:B-18806)台北からのCI116便を午後5時28分に滑走路16Rで撮りました。昨日チャイナエアラインホームページで調べてみると今日の同便は長距離線用のA340-300機で運航することが判明していたのでぜひ撮影したいと思い空港に向かいました。

One hour later, the plane was returned to Taipei on CI117.
1時間後飛行機はCI117便で台北に戻って行きました。

KLM Asia Airlines B777-200ER and Vietnam Airlines A321 "White Nose"/”KLMアジア航空”B777-200ER機と”白い鼻”のベトナム航空A321機

In the morning, I went to Fukuoka Airport to watch planes both domestic and international. It was a very sunny day today, so I took some my photos as usual, on Rwy 16R.

 

今朝福岡空港に行って国内外の飛行機を見ました。今日の天気は快晴だったのでいつものように滑走路16Rで写真を撮りました。

 

Note: This day, the direction of takeoffs were changed from the North side on Runway 16R to the South side on Runway 34R at about 10 am.

 

注：この日は午前10時ごろから離陸方向を北側滑走路16Rから南側滑走路34Rに変更していました。

I saw two international special planes of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Vietnam Airlines, the former one is B777-200ER *"KLM Asia Airlines" livery and the latter is an A321 "White Nose" specially painted on the nose.

KLMオランダ航空とベトナム航空の特別機が飛来していました。前者はB777-200ERの*”KLMアジア航空”塗装で後者はA321機で鼻のところが特別に白く塗られていました。

Min-min

After leaving Kazagashira Park, we went to Min-min Chinese boutique shop. The shop has just moved and reopened in February at the site of Shinchi Business Hotel. Of course, I bought a couple of "snake" Chinese new year goods there.

I bought a couple of "Snake" dolls there. The left one is a girl rolling her tail up and the right one is boy bringing a gold sack on his tail.  Of course, they are so pretty!

Next to the shop, Shunkashuto (春夏秋冬; four seasons) Chinese restaurant open on 9 February. We had a wonderful dinner there. We ordered champon, fried rice with prawns, spring rolls and beef with oyster sauce. Excellent menu, but a little expensive.

Kazagashira Park (風頭公園), Nagasaki on 13 May

After leaving Meganebashi of Isahaya, we went to Kazagashira Park. Today was a nice weather, so we had decided to take a drive to see a panoramic view of the Port of Nagasaki and city centre from the park. We were visited there once in January 2011. At that time, the weather was cloudy, so we couldn't take nice pictures of the city.

About 100m further down the hill road from the park, you can find a pair of boots made of bronze called "Ryoma's boots" (竜馬のぶーつ) and Kameyama Shachu Memorial Hall (亀山社中記念館).

Meganebashi of Isahaya (諫早の眼鏡橋)

First, we were visited to Meganebashi at Isahaya Park.

Summary
Meganebashi or "Spectacles Bridge" (眼鏡橋）is a double arch stone bridge spanning a pond in the park. The bridge is twice the size of the famous "Spectacles Bridge" in Nagasaki city. The bridge was originally built over the Honmyo river in 1839. After the flood of 1957, it was relocated to the park. Every year on the anniversary of the flood, the city of Isahaya has a festival at the original location of the bridge. It was designated as an Important Cultural Asset in 1958.

After leaving Isahaya, we headed off to Nagasaki.

Day tripping to Nagasaki on 13 May

Yesterday, on 13 May, we decided to take a drive to Nagasaki. First, we went to Isahaya Park (諫早公園) to see Meganebashi spanning a pond in the park. Next, we went to Kazagashira Park (風頭公園). From here, you can see a spectacular view of the Port of Nagasaki and the city centre. After leaving Kazagashira Park, we went to Min-min Chinese boutique shop. The shop has just moved and reopened in February. Of course, I bought a couple of "snake" Chinese new year goods there.
After that, we were visited to Oura Church, Glover Garden and Confucius Shrine. We had a dinner at Shunkashuto (春夏秋冬; four seasons), a new Chinese restaurant open in China Town on 9 February.
