Kushida Shrine (櫛田神社;Kushida-jinja), Fukuoka

Kushida Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Kamikawabata-machi, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City. It is said to have been founded in 757.

A Chinese zodiac is displayed at the entrance.
The Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival is centred on the shrine.

In the shrine yard grows a symbolic ginkgo tree with two monumental tablets of the Mongolian invasion.
