I bought pretty rat dolls at Nagasaki Chinatown

We arrived at Nagasaki Chinatown at 5. Of course we went to Min-Min boutique shop to buy some Chinese new year goods.
When we came here, we were so surprised that a babble tea🍵 shop was open on the site of second store!
The annex shop in business when I was visit on March 6, 2018.
I bought three rat🐀 toys; red, gold and a mix of colors yellow and red. They're all pretty, I think the left one is best.
When we got out of the store, we met the manager again. She made us to serve a cup of hot babble tea. We feel more energetic when we drank that tea.
Before going back to home, I took a picture of Chinese lanterns🏮 at night.
The Nagasaki Lantern Festival is coming up soon.

Visiting Urakami Cathedral, Nagasaki

In the evening we went to Nagasaki Chinatown. As usual, I bought some Rat🐀 Chinese new year goods at Min-min boutique shop.

Before that we went to the Urakami Cathedral⛪. The St. Mary's cathedral is located only 500 meters away from the hypocenter of an atomic bomb. The cathedral was first built in 1925 and called "the best church in the East" at that time. But when the atom bomb💣 was dropped at 11:02 am on August 9, 1945, the brick building was totally destroyed by an airstrike. Now only one remains such as walls found at the church.

The church stands on a hill overlooking the city.
The image is downloading from Yukiko's blog on Ameblo.

There is a gate in front of Family Mart convenience store🏪 across the street. From here just go on a slope towards the cathedral. You can see a beautiful church of red bricks on the hill.
Three statues of Christ🎅 is shown on the left side of the entrance to the church. Look at the picture on the left. The broken St. John the Apostle statue which has fallen on his neck by bomb that tell us the truth of war.
The former belfry🔔 fall down to the ground of the church.

Visiting Kurosaki Church in Sotome, Nagasaki

After walking around the Shitsu Village, we went down south to see the Catholic Kurosaki Church⛪. Although the church is not a World Heritage site, but Father Marc Marie de Rotz who is closely related with the Sotome area was involved in the construction plan. The construction of the cathedral was decided at the current location in 1897. The work was started two years later but it was stopped due to financial difficulties.

The building of the church was completed in 1920, twenty-three years after finishing his work.
The door was not open so we decided to go to another place, the Urakami Cathedral.
The statue of Virgin Mary. The detailed history of Kurosaki Church is written below the statue.
