I finally got a picture of a Vanilla Air a320!/ようやくバニラエアのA320型機を捕獲しました！

The best things to upload photo of the day: A Vanilla Air Airbus a320-200 on flight JW151 to Taipei was taking off at 12:17 pm. The ANA (All Nippon Airways) group budget airline began operating a schedule service to Taipei on 25 March. 

The flight was delayed by three hours because of aircraft maintenance, perhaps. 
この日のもう一つの収穫といえばバニラエアのA320型機を初めてカメラに収めたことでした。全日空（ANA）グループのLCCである同社は今年3月25日から福岡ー台北間に1日1便で就航しています。しかし到着が夜8時過ぎなので暗くて撮影できないことや出発が朝9時ごろと早いのでまだ見に行っていませんでした。機体番号はJA09VAで当機は2016年4月に受領しています。この日は機体整備（?）のせいか予定より3時間遅れの午後12時17分に離陸したので偶然にも見ることができてラッキーでした。

Now EVA Air's Hello Kitty jet keep going off/エバー航空のハローキティジェットがお休み中

On July 27, I went to take a picture of an EVA Air Airbus a330-300. I looked up to the airline's website beforehand, they'll send to the normal color version of A330s (333) for a period of time, from 20 to 29 July instead of the usual Hello Kitty jets.  
金曜日（27日）はエバー航空のA330-300型機を撮りに行きました。同社の公式HPを見ているといつものキティジェットが今月20日から29日まで外れる代わりに通常塗装の333に機材変更するとのこと。

The plane was coming at 12:44 pm. The aircraft registration number B-16335 was used for flight of the day. It's one of the old painted plane which has been received in November 2015. 
飛行機は午後12時44分にやってきました。機体番号はB-16335で2015年11月に受領した旧塗装機です。

It has been done for taxiing, now the plane was waiting for takeoff.

A day trip to Torikai Hachimangu Shrine, Fukuoka

On July 22, I made a short trip to Torikai Hachiman-gu (鳥飼八幡宮), a Shinto shrine in Chuo-ku, Fukuoka. Located in the west of Ohori Park, the shrine is known as god of marriage.

When I go to jinja or a Shinto shrine,  I always wash my hands in Chozuya.

Going through the gate on sando, finally I got into Haiden or the hall of worship.

Walking tour to the Yamakasa race floats in Fukuoka

Yesterday, I took a walking tour to see the Yamakasa (山笠) race floats in Gofukumachi (呉服町) and Kamikawabata-dori (上川端通) shopping arcade. Yamakasa is an annual summer festival held from July 1 to 15 by Kushida Shrine in Fukuoka. 

First, I stopped at Hasuike-dori Street to see the third race float by Ebisu-nagare near Gokufumachi subway station. How do I get there? From the station exit 5, go straight on Meiji-dori Avenue. Then turn right from the Hotel New Gaea Kamigofuku at the third corner.

Next, I went to Kamikawabata-dori shopping arcade, a covered walkway on the way to Canal City Hakata from Nakasu-Kawabata subway station. This is the Kakiyama (舁き山) carrying float that raced through the town of Hakata.

The other one is a stationary float that is drawing the Kabuki folk dance.

Visiting Umi Hachiman-gu, Fukuoka

On June 30, I made a short trip to Umi Hachiman-gu (宇美八幡宮), a Shinto shrine in Umi, Fukuoka. The shrine is venerated as legendary place where Empress Jingu safely gave birth to the future Emperor Ojin, and is still patroned by those praying for safe childbirth and smooth child rearing.  

Before going to the main shrine, I washed my hands at Chozuya (手水舎).

Yufuta's forest (湯蓋の森 -no mori), one of the old camphor trees in this shrine, is designated as the National Treasures.

Koyasu-no-ishi (子安の石), literary means the praying stone for childbirth and smooth child rearing. A pregnant woman who have a safe child delivery will take this stone and take it home. After giving birth, write a child's name in another new stone and wish for healthy growth and development of a child. When visiting a shrine, she'd like to pay with the stone she kept.

After that I went to the Enagaura (胞衣ヶ浦) Upper Shrine. In most cases of the upper shrines in Japan, we have to go up a lot of stairs or we have to mountains to climb. But here it's easy to go there. You just go straight ahead from the shrine torii of back gate. When you climb the stairs to the shrine, you'll see the place of worship called Chinju-no-mori (鎮守の森) or the guardian forest.

The emperor's placenta is dedicated to the shrine. 

There is a park near the shrine that is known for cherry trees. It'll be very crowded during the hanami season.

Plane spotting at FUK on 1 July 2018/2018年7月1日福岡空港での飛行機たち

On July 1, I went to the airport in the afternoon. You know the Delta airplane from Honolulu was breakdown last Wednesday. I was going to see the situation what is going on now. After that I was watching planes takeoff and landing until the half past six. There are some international flights in this time zone, but most of them are budget airlines to/from Korea. I think they should make more flights from other Asian countries after privatization next spring. 
先週日曜日（1日）の昼はデルタ航空のB767型機が機体トラブルで国内線エプロンに駐機中という情報をネットで知って、今はどのような状態となっているのか見に行きました。その後6時半ごろまでいたのですが、この時間帯の国際線だと韓国系LCCがほとんどなので来年春の民営化後は他のアジア系を今より多く乗り入れてさせてほしいと思いました。

At 3:42 pm, a China United Airlines flight KN5975 from Yantai was landing on Rwy 16. The airline, a sister company of China Eastern Airlines, is operating as regular chartered flights four times a week since the end of December last year.
午後3時42分に中国聯合航空の煙台発KN5975便が滑走路16に着陸。中国東方航空の子会社である同社は昨年12月末から週4便の定期チャーター便として就航しています。

At 6:37 pm, a Cathay Dragon flight KA343 to Hong Kong was taking off on Rwy 16. From 25 March, a Hong Kong based airline company increased their previous 11 flights per week on the route to 2 flights per day.
午後6時37分にキャセイドラゴン航空の香港行きKA343便が滑走路16から離陸。今年3月25日から同社の福岡便はそれまでの週11便から1日2便に増便しました。

A Delta airplane staying at FUK apron/デルタ航空のB767型機が機体トラブルで駐機中

Yesterday I went to take a picture of a Delta plane stopped at Fukuoka Airport apron. The Honolulu flight arrived last Wednesday seems to be trouble due to the right engine fail. The plane is still waiting for the new engine. 
昨日は機体トラブルで駐機しているデルタ航空の写真撮影に行きました。当機は先週水曜日（27日）にホノルルから到着したDL599便で機体トラブルで折り返し便が出発できずに未だに国内線側エプロンに駐機したままです。ある方のブログによると右側エンジン故障のようでその部分を取り外した状態で置かれています。とにかくアメリカから交換のエンジンが来るまで待っているようです。機種はボーイング767-300ER型機で機体番号はN180DNです。
