Walking tour to the Yamakasa race floats in Fukuoka
On Saturday, I took a walking tour to see the Yamakasa race floats in Hakata Station and Watanabedori (渡辺通) near Tenjin, the largest downtown area in Kyushu. Yamakasa is an annual summer festival held from July 1 to 15 by Kushida Shrine in Fukuoka.
First, I went to Hakata Station event square to see the 2019 Rugby World Cup float. Fukuoka was chosen to host the rugby competitions this autumn.
Then I walked down the Sumiyoshi-dori Street to Watanabedori where the thirteen race float is located.
