On September 5, we went to Ryukotoku-ji (瀧光徳寺), a Shingon Buddhist temple in the mountainous area of Kiyama, Saga. The temple was found in 1912 by priest Kakue (覚恵) as a new religion of Shingon sect.
We went up the stairs to the main temple.
Two temple buildings of Ryukotoku-ji on both sides of the Sando stairs.
The Daihondo main temple.
After a short break, we went further up to the hill. We saw a small temple called Gohouzodo.
Going back to the main temple, then we decided to go to the five-storied pagoda. Built in 1966, it is the first tallest temple tower in the island of Kyushu.
Before going to Kurume, we stopped at the Okunoin (奥之院) inner temple where the sect founder Kakue was buried.
